The club was formed in 1923, serves photographers of Central New York and is a member of the Photographic Society of America. Membership is open to the general public with monthly meetings, challenges, competitions, regional outings and workshops to learn more about the tools and image composition. To learn more,

On Stage: Mother Marianne’s West Side Kitchen

The Utica College Theatre Department presents Mother Marianne’s West Side Kitchen, a full-length production devised from first-person narratives of profoundly poor Utica residents. Shannon Enders and Ann Carey, adjunct professors and artists in residence, worked with Theatre For Social Reform students to develop the performance. The group conducted personal interviews in Mother Marianne’s West Side Soup Kitchen in West Utica, and recorded the back stories of people who rely on the soup kitchen for survival. The stories are shaped into a series of surprisingly candid monologues and scenes. A must-see, complex portrait about what it means to be poor in America. November 7, 8, and 9 at 8:00 p.m. and November 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Strebel Student Center Auditorium. Tickets are $4 for general admission, and are available at the door.
