Scholarships Offered by Outside (Non-UC) Organizations
UC students can apply for any of several additional scholarship options offered by area organizations. These include the following scholarships below: (Do not forget to check out our "Useful Websites" page where other scholarship websites and information are available.)
AES Engineering Solutions Scholarship
Eligibility: Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. "Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason, we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted."

Alpha Sigma Lambda Scholarship
Eligibility: Students must be currently attending Utica College undergraduate classes, must have completed at least 30 semester hours which have been graded through the institution, (Do not include accepted transfer credits), and have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.2.

American Institute of CPAs AICPA/Accountemps Student Scholarship
Amount: $2,500 per recipient for one year
Eligibility: Current majors in accounting, finance, or information systems - Graduate or undergraduate students
AICPA/John L. Carey Scholarship
Amount: $5,000 per recipient for one year
Eligibility: Liberal arts degree holders pursuing graduate studies in accounting and the CPA designation

Associated General Contractors of NYS, LLC's Scholarship
Eligibility: Open to New York State residents attending a college or university in or outside New York State, majoring in construction technology or civil engineering and maintaining a 2.5 gpa or better.

Bounce Energy Scholarship Amount: $2,500
Eligibility: Must be a current senior high school student or college student under 24 years of age achieving a 3.0 or better gpa. Must be a resident of or going to college in one of these states: New York, Pennsylvania or Texas

CampusRN Scholarship Program
Eligibility: CampusRN will award six $2,500 scholarships to a needy and deserving nursing student in each region.

CampusRN has $15,000 in Scholarships Available to Nursing & Allied Health Students.
Eligibility-The scholarship is open to any individual who will be attending an accredited four-year college or university in the United States full time in the following academic year. Decisions for each year are made by April 30 for the upcoming Fall school year. Upon award, verification of college acceptance and attendance will be made. Funds will be paid only to the school, and not to the individual.

First Source Federal Credit Union Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 (Two scholarships for Utica College Students)
Eligibility: If you are planning to attend Utica College full time in the fall and are a member of First Source Federal Credit Union.

John Gyles Education Award
Eligibility: Full Canadian or American citizenship; areas of post secondary study; minimum 3.5 gpa; more detailed information online.

Koster Insurance Health Careers Scholarship Program
Eligibility: All full-time undergraduate students majoring in a healthcare related field entering their junior or senior year and having a 3.0 or better gpa.

The Lowe's Scholarship
Number of scholarships available: 140
Eligibility: High school seniors, maintain 3.25 gpa, demonstrate a history of commitment to their community through leadership activities, community service and/or work experience.

Eligibility: All full-time undergraduate students entering their sophomore, junior, senior year or 5th year senior and having a 3.0 or better gpa. Preferences will be given to students who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the insurance and financial services industry, as well as, has leadership and participation in extracurricular activities.

Violet Morris Memorial Scholarship Amount: $5,000
Eligibility: All full-time undergraduate students who are graduates of local area high schools, who are currently attending a local college. While the important focus is a runner, the intent is to reward the efforts of a person who struggled or struggles against adversity to achieve a goal.

New York State Transfer and Articulation Association (NYSTAA)
Eligibility: Must have completed an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science or Associate in Applied Science from a two year member school, minimum cumulative gpa 3.2

New York State Occupational Therapy Association
Amount: varies per district
Eligibility: Students whose permanent address is within New York State districts listed on website, full or part time students for an Associates, Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral in Occupational Therapy degree. For more information go to http://www.nysota.org/

Performing Arts Scholarship Auditions
Amount: $1,000 First Place and $500 Second Place
Eligibility: Resident of Oneida or Herkimer County, ages 14 through 20, demonstrate financial need, audition performance must be dance, vocal, musical theater or acting, completed application prior to audition.

2010 Price Chopper's Golub Foundation
Amount: Up to $2,000
Eligibility: The Junior College Transfer Scholarship is for a graduate or graduating student of a community or junior college, transferring to a four year college or university, as a junior, starting the Fall semester. The Graduate or Professional School scholarship is for a graduating college senior or returning student who is planning on attending graduate school as a fully matriculated, first year graduate student for the Fall semester. Syracuse Builders Exchange (SBE)
Amount and Number of Scholarhips available: Variable - Scholarships are awarded in the amounts of $1,000 and/or $2,000.
Eligibility: Students must be an employee of an SBE member firm or dependent of an employee of an SBE member firm. Students need to ask the parent if their employer is a member of the Syracuse Builders Exchange. Must be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university within New York State to be eligible. High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a full time course of study at a College or University in the United States.

Tylenol® Scholarship Amount: between $5,000 and $10,000
Number of scholarships available: 40
Eligibility: Students in the health professions. Judged on leadership qualities and academic performance.

Zonta Club of the Oneida Area - Mildred Ridley Scholarship Award
Number of scholarships available: 1
Eligibility: Candidates must be female students who are going back to school to improve their lives and/or their families. They must be half way through their educational program, have an overall average of C or better, and be residents within the Canastota, Oneida, Stockbridge Valley or Vernon Verona Sherrill school districts.

Zonta Club of Utica Award
Number of scholarships available: 3
Eligibility: Candidates must be female students 25 years of age or older who have had to leave or postpone formal education to deal with adult responsibility, and who can demonstrate significant financial need after all other forms of assistance have been exhausted.

Zonta Club of Utica Award - Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship
Amount: $500 for local winner and becomes eligible for District scholarship of $500
Number of scholarships available: 1
Eligibility: This international scholarship is open to women entering their third or fourth year of study leading to a business-related bachelor's degree. Online students are eligible.
