This Isn't Just Where You Sleep. It's Where You Live.
ure, it’s important to get enough sleep when you’re at college. That said, UC gives you plenty of reasons to keep your eyes open.
Let’s start with the residence halls. Every room is equipped with cable TV hookups and high-speed Internet (not to mention nice, comfortable beds). There are plenty of common spaces for hanging out with friends, and the halls all include coinless laundry facilities.
Just a short walk from your residence hall is the Gary Kunath Fitness Center, a newly-remodeled facility that features:
Hungry? Lots of choices here. The Strebel Dining Commons offers a variety of serving stations and made-to-order entrées, with everything from home-style to international. The Pioneer Café has got great smoothies, pizza, and daily specials. There’s also a Subway shop, Le Bistro snack bar, and the new Mojo’z coffeehouse.
And there’s always something happening on campus. UC’s student-run programming board sponsors concerts and other performances throughout the term. You’ll hear from well-known writers, poets, and artists, as well as prominent politicians and opinion-makers. (We’ve hosted talks by two presidential candidates in recent years.)
