Melodee K. Moltman, M.S., Associate Professor of Psychology-Child LifeTeaching and learning is a collaborative process

Teaching and learning is a collaborative process. It’s not a sage on a stage kind of thing. I work hard and I expect people to work hard back. And I say, if you want to be my colleague as a Child Life specialist, you had better take it seriously. It’s a privilege to serve children and parents, particularly when you visit families in really stressful and difficult situations. You need to be knowledgeable and prepared, but most importantly, you need to be reliable. You can learn everything else, but if you’re not there, they can’t depend on you.”
