Submission Information
We welcome papers and posters that highlight how archaeology reveals the connections between communities despite the distances, both geographical and cultural, that separate them. Topics of interest include:
- contact-period sites;
- transportation, communication, and trade networks;
- industrialization;
- women’s suffrage;
- slavery and abolition;
- cemeteries and bioarchaeology;
- foodways;
- rituals and religion;
- sites of conflict; and
- public archaeology and cultural resource management.
Papers and posters on any topic are welcome as well, and are not required to specifically address the conference theme.
Authors should submit an abstract of no more than 150 words that clearly describes the purpose of the research, the significance of the work, and a summary of the results. Abstract submission deadline has been extended to August 1, 2011. Complete the abstract submission form and return it as directed - click here for the form/instructions. (For conference registration information, click here.) Only CNEHA members may serve as the presenting author of papers and posters.
