Networking is not the only assistance alumni provide to Utica College students. Many also contribute to the Raymond Simon Institute (RSI), which provides annual scholarships and monetary awards to deserving PRJ students. Alumni contributions to the RSI also make it possible for PRJ students to attend the national PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) conference and to pay dues to national organizations like PRSSA and the Society for Collegiate Journalists (SCJ). Contributions from alumni also help fund the PRJ alumni directory as well as the PRJ alumni newsletter.

"I chose Utica's PR/J program because I wanted to learn the skills for my future career in a close-knit school community. UC gave me the basic skills I needed to get started on my career. And long after graduating, certain professors continue to help me grow through their advice, support, and sincere interest in seeing me succeed."
