What is the Child-Life Society up to this semester?

 

The Child-Life Society has many upcoming events planned for this semester.
We meet in Hubbard Hall room 202(second floor) at 7:30pm on Tuesdays.  Our first meeting is scheduled for September 15th. Please join us. :)
These events are open to anyone who is interested, but space is limited. They include:

Our annual event to support Child-Life Month and the Week of the Young Child is:

• St. Baldrick's Day
  The event helps to support childhood cancer research.It entails getting your hair shaved (completely bald), or donated (must be 7-8 inches) for cancer patients. Donates are appreciated. 100 % of the profits and money donated will be going toward cancer research.
  
  • Also, we would appreciate it if anyone would be willing to help us set up for the event, or if you could spread the event by word of mouth to your fellow peers and classmates.

•  Buddy Walk: On October 4th, 2009 at 9:00am, at Hanna Park in Utica, we will have a booth at the Buddy Walk. This event benefits children with Down Syndrome.
  We will be providing messy media activities and temporary tattoos to the children.

  The event helps to support childhood cancer research. As of now, we would appreciate it if anyone would be able to donate raffle baskets for the event, or help to organize the event.
