Studying Nursing: The UC Advantage

Utica College's major in nursing offers a very rigorous program of foundational study, practical training, and clinical experience in the discipline, complemented by comprehensive learning in the liberal arts. 

Nursing students at Utica College work closely with exceptionally accomplished faculty and have access to UC's state-of-the-art Albert and Gloria Shaheen Nursing Laboratory, which features a fully equipped hospital ward and advanced learning technologies. 
  
The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.

Curriculum

The curriculum for the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing consists of 127 credit hours of study comprised of 59 credits of nursing courses, and 68 credits of general education courses, prerequisite requirements, and electives.
