Elizabeth Threadgill grew up in Marfa, Texas, a community rich in art, poetry, and rabbits. She holds an MFA in Poetry and a PhD in Developmental Education-Literacy, both from Texas State University. Her research focuses on the intersections of composition, developmental writing, media literacy and other emerging literacies, and rhetorical strategies for reading, writing, and learning. She is a working member of the National Association for Media Literacy Education and works to improve media literacy education at the college level. She primarily presents at conferences and publishes in journals related to media and developmental education. She also has a chapbook of poems forthcoming from Finishing Line Press.
