Biography
Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Computer Science Program at Utica College. Professor Huss began her career at Utica College in 1983 after teaching high school level mathematics for a number of years. She teaches both lower level and upper level computer courses including Microcomputers and Application Software, Discrete Mathematics, Introduction to Networks and Computer and Network Security. Among her publications are a number of Research Abstracts and Technical Reports completed for NASA's Lewis Research Center in Cleveland Ohio. In recent years her focus has been on computer science pedagogy and curriculum development in the area of computer and network security. Professor Huss has been awarded two Summer Faculty Fellowships by NASA and the American Engineering for Education as well as a number of Utica College Summer Fellowships and grants. Professor Huss earned her B.A. in Mathematics from Utica College, her M.S. in Mathematics Education from Syracuse University and another M.S. in Computer Science, also from Syracuse University. She is a member of the Association of Computing Machinery and the American Association of University Professors.

M y internship was in the legal department of a high-tech employer researching patents. Having a computer science background is really important to that type of work. Now I'm thinking about going to law school. There are a lot of options with this program.
