Academic Minor in Healthcare Advocacy and Navigation


21 Credit Program 

UUtica College studentstica College's academic minor in Healthcare Advocacy and Navigation provides students with the knowledge and ability to guide clients through the complex healthcare system. The minor also provides students with a basic understanding of the continuum of health care as it pertains to their client’s specific medical condition ensuring that any and all barriers to that care are resolved and that each stage of care is as seamless as possible.

Although open to all students, the minor is especially relevant for students in:
  • Health Studies
  • Nursing
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Psychology-Child Life
  • Therapeutic Recreation
  • Physical Therapy
