Faculty
With four faculty members trained in biochemistry, inorganic/analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical/polymer chemistry, the UC chemistry faculty offers its students diverse areas of expertise.
Michelle A. Boucher
, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Chemistry
Phone: (315) 792-3120
Office: 269 Gordon Science Center
Dr. Michelle Boucher earned a Ph.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University and came to UC in 2005. She teaches organic chemistry and chemistry in society. Her research interests include organosilicon chemistry, specifically the modification of naturally occurring sheet silicates as reinforcement or alignment tools.

Harold Pier
Professor Emeritus of Chemistry
"I got a chance to do hands-on research, which really helped when I applied to graduate schools. I was more prepared, compared to students from larger colleges, because we had more one-on-one instruction and a chance to do more hands-on work with the instrumentation."
