12th Annual Exhibit

This exhibit is an integral part of February’s National Art Education Month. This exhibit is hosted by the UC Barrett Gallery as a Partner for Excellence in Arts in Education.
The exhibit consists of works of art produced by over 250 students and 21 art teachers from the Utica City School District in grades K – 12. The art works featured in the exhibit will be from the projects that meet the NY Arts in Education Standards. Works will be in photography, oil painting, mixed media collage, ceramics, sculpture, watercolor, crayon drawing, finger-painting, collage, pencil drawing, design and computer graphics. Art Educators will also present personal creative works with their students.
The opening reception is open to the public and will take place on January 27th from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the library concourse, outside of the art gallery. School district bands and orchestra will perform live at the reception. A children’s art activity is provided by UC Student Groups LASU and BOND.
