Football is Over

So guys football is over, and man, I’m so lost without it. I don’t know what to do with all this free time. Even though I love it, I would rather be playing football; that’s my love, you know? Sorry, I just had to let that out. I really didn’t have anyone to tell that to.

It’s That Time Again

So here it is, that time again. Yes, freshmen, this is your first time ever being in this situation. But don’t worry – your friend Juwan is here for you.

There are three things you need to keep in your mind, and you will be fine.

1)      Stay relaxed – this is needed, A lot of people will be all over the place around you, but don’t let the fact that they can’t relax be the reason why you can’t relax.

2)      Stay locked in- it can be easy to start letting things go around this time, and that’s kind of the what you don’t want to do, so stay locked in.

3)      Trust- trust the body of work that you have put in. and you will be fine.

Thanksgiving Break

I know I’m really late, and I’m sorry, but I scheduled this to post a long time, and just found out that it didn’t. So here’s the rundown of how my break went. One word: amazing. I got the chance to go home for the first time in 5 months and see my family. It was great. The food was even better. I’m sorry I didn’t see this post, but hey, better late than never.

Photos week

Photos week was epic they through an amazing banquet that had great food, performances and great people it was nice to be apart of a great event and it was even more meaningful that I was able to be award sat with an award from one of the biggest leaders on this campus in every part of Utica College making it better and better every day. The award that I was given was the friendship award and it means a lot to me not just because it’s a great award but because of the people who gave me the ward so thank you so much to the brothers of Phi Iota Alpha fraternity, INC.

What an amazing weekend

This week was great, it was our first and only weekend without a football game this year and it just so happened to be Halloween week. Last year around this time I didn’t have as much fun has I have done this year and I guess due to the fact that you got to learn I mean as a freshman, I was the type of person that was ready to have fun, but I was uptight still and this year was little better I let things just work themselves out and I just enjoyed every day at being at school. And this week made it great was just the best weekend I have ever had school so big ups to everyone who throw a great party and ups to the city of Utica on knowing how to have fun , party, and keep it all safe

Hey guys, how are you doing? This week is a major week for all those people who just want one night to be something other than who they really are. Yes, it’s that time again: Halloween!!! So go to Party City, Walmart, or any place that sells costumes, and get ready for a great week at UC.

Last year, I was thinking that Halloween at college is not even celebrated; it’s just another day. But I was so wrong. People really go all out, but it’s cool and fun. I really advise you guys to go out this weekend with your fellow UC student and have fun.

Some Things to Know

Hey guys. How you doing? I hope everything is going well. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up on some of the things that are coming up:

  • BREAK BUS! Tickets re on sale right now and have been since September 30th. The bus leaves Oct 10th at 4 p.m. in front of Strebel. It’s $70, round trip.
  • Having problems with APA style on a paper? The UC Library is holding workshops to help you understand APA.
  • GymLyfeFitness is a quality, affordable online personal trainer for any students looking to get their bodies in the right shape. Flyers are outside across from Student Activities. Plus, UC college students receive 50% off all Fitness Packages. You can’t wrong with that.

HOW ARE YOU GUYS DOING !!! I know it’s been a while since I posted a blog and I’m sorry schools and football has just been so crazy. I just want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting us this past sat at the game and helping us go 4-0 we play for you guys and the whole city of Utica.  Today’s blog is about managing time over this past week I found out that I wasn’t doing my best job of managing my time I was so stressed and I never want to feel like that again because it really  screws up a lot of other things just like a domino effect. So make sure you’re using your Sundays wisely to get all homework done make sure that you have your week plan out and maybe even get a nice jump start on some later projects.

Never 2 Early

So I know everyone has  heard its never too late for anything, right? Well its never to early for anything either. I know school just started about three weeks ago and you maybe didn’t have a test yet, but think about getting a tutor or seeking help  from someone in classes you think will be challenging. Now this post is more toward freshmen because seeking help is not something you probably want to do  three weeks in on being by yourself, but in fact by asking for help you show true maturity and responsibility because you are seeking to be better than just average and that’s always a good thing. Now this was just something short I felt everyone, but more freshmen should be aware of because I know last year I could have had a 3.5 and not a 3.0 if I stood up and asked for help.
