Dr. Linda S. Dake ( holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Main, Orono, an M.S. degree in chemistry from Washington State University, and a B.A. degree in Physics from Whitman College, Walla Walla, Washington. Her research interests include solid state physics, surface science, and thin film and interfacial analysis. She is currently exploring self-assembled organic monolayers and their interactions with metals. Prior to joining the Utica College faculty, she was a research scientist at Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratories, and at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. She is a prolific and eclectic reader, an avid experimenter in the fiber arts, and enjoys the outdoors.
