Lena Moser, M.S.
Lena is a graduate of Cornell University, where she earned a B.S. in Natural Resources. She also holds two Master’s degrees; one from Princeton University in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and the other from University of Connecticut in Anthropology.
Prior to joining UC, Lena worked as the Science Academic Support Specialist for the Student Academic Success Center at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. As a learning specialist, Lena enjoyed tutoring students in biology, teaching academic support courses, and running workshops on learning skills, scientific writing, and exam preparation. Lena is passionate about helping students succeed in their academics and is excited to be coordinating the tutoring services that reside in the Learning Commons.
Lena is an avid birder, hiker, and mountain biker. In 2018, with her infant son in tow, Lena went on 60 hikes and covered over 230 miles of trail. She has guided birding tours around the world and co-founded the Maine Young Birders Club, an organization for teen naturalists.
