Brown Bag Lunch Lecture: Japan's Manga Emperor

Utica, NY (05/06/2014)- On Wednesday, May 7, in the DuRoss Faculty Dining Room, the History Brown Bag lunch lecture features Jeffrey DuBois from the University at Albany and his lecture titled, “Japan’s Manga Emperor: Debating the Role of the Postwar Emperor Through Graphic Novels.”
DuBois is visiting assistant professor of Japanese at Albany. He focuses his research on modern Japanese literature and intellectual thought, especially related to interpretations and representations of Japan’s emperor and imperial institution.
The lecture will begin at 12:30 p.m.; it is free and open to everyone. This is the final Brown Bag Lunch Lecture of the academic year.
