Federal Work Study and College Payroll
Federal Work Study
The Federal Work Study Program is a federally subsidized program designed to assist students in meeting their college costs. Employment opportunities exist both on campus and with local community service agencies. The number of students able to participate in the program varies from year to year based on the annual allocation of campus based aid received by the College. Preference must be given to those students who show the greatest need, as determined by the Office of Student Financial Services. Applicants must be enrolled at least half-time at the College.
Some students who are not eligible for the Federal Work-Study Program may qualify for a College Payroll Position. Eligibility for College Payroll is determined by the Office of Student Financial Services or by Student Employment. Students must be enrolled at least half time at Utica College and be in good academic standing to qualify. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required.
Qualifications for College Payroll
- Enrolled half time at UC
- Good Academic Standing
- Minimum 2.0 G.P.A
The Office of Student Financial Services maintains a waiting list of students who did not receive federal funding and wish to be considered for a job if funding becomes available.
