Will you talk to my parents?
Information shared during counseling sessions is kept confidential, and records kept by the Counseling Center are not part of your student file at Utica University. No one outside the counseling center has access to your counseling records without your permission. Without your permission, we will not and cannot update or inform your parents, family, friends, faculty or staff on your involvement with our services. However, if we at any time are concerned for your safety, or the safety of others, we may need to reach out to those supports in the event of an emergency.
Meeting with a Counselor It's easy to set an appointment - just stop in, call, or email us! Our office is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 am -5:00 pm. There is no fee to meet with a counselor. In the case of a mental health emergency when the office, or University is closed, students should call the national crisis hotline at 1-800-273-8255.
