SU Prof to Address Racial Identity

Talk Exploring Racial Identity, Post-WWII Courtroom

Utica, NY (02/10/2015) - Utica College’s Center for Historical Research will host Jeffery Gonda, assistant professor of history at Syracuse University, on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 12:30 p.m. His talk is titled, “Witnessing Whiteness: Racial Identity and Housing in the Post-WWII Courtroom.”

This talk is the first Brown Bag Lunch Lecture of the Spring semester.

Professor Gonda earned his Ph.D. at Yale University. Some of his academic interests include African-American History, 20th Century U.S. legal issues, and politics.

The presentation will be held in the DuRoss Family Dining Room located in the Dining Commons. This event is free and open to the public.
