Utica, NY (11/07/2013) - The Utica College Office of Admissions would like to welcome potential UC students to its Fall Open House on Monday, Nov. 11 in the Strebel Student Center.

Registration and check-in begins at 9 a.m. with a campus tour starting at 9:30. After the tour, the Office of Student Financial Services will host an early bird financial aid session at 10. Students will also be able to meet with counselors to discuss specifics to their intended major. Lunch will be served in the Dining Commons at 1 p.m. and a campus tour for those that traveled a distance will be offered again at 2 p.m.

This is an ideal chance for students to find out more about popular programs including economic crime investigation, criminal justice, cybersecurity, public relations and journalism and nursing and health sciences programs.

Potential students can take a tour of the state-of-the-art Economic Crime, Justice Studies and Cybersecurity building which houses secure cyber laboratories with high-speed computers and sophisticated software. Students can also see the Dr. Albert and Gloria Shaheen Nursing laboratory located in F. Eugene Romano Hall with a fully-equipped re-creation of a modern hospital ward, including nurses’ station, to facilitate clinical training at a very high level. They will also be able to view the Professor Raymond Simon Convergence Media Center, which provides a high-definition fully-operational television studio.

The $40 application fee will be waived for those who attend.

Event registration can be made online at http://utica.force.com/EventRegistration?eventId=701E0000000DY54IAG
