Utica, NY (09/10/2013) - Nationally-known artist, illustrator and musician J.D. King will present a Gallery Talk on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 12:30 at the Edith Langley Barrett Fine Art Gallery, located in the Utica College Library Concourse. The talk is part of the Professor Harry F. and Mary Ruth Jackson Lunch Hour Series at the college.

King will discuss his current exhibit, “Pretty Poison: Prints.”  He has worked in graphics and illustration for decades, but his source of inspiration has been painting: synthetic cubism, geometric abstraction, pop and minimalism. King has recently moved to digital printing, which allows him to use exact grids and geometric shapes.

King’s prints are on exhibit in UC’s Gallery through Friday, Oct. 25.

The program is free and open to the public. Literary programs are made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts.

For more information on the Lunch Hour Series, call, 315-792-3028 or visit www.utica.edu/jackson.
