Utica, NY (11/20/2012) - The recent presidential election has a significant impact on upcoming changes in tax laws.

To assist accountants and tax preparers, Utica College will offer its annual Tax Practitioner Institute on Monday, Dec. 3 and Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The Tax Practitioner Institute will offer accountants the opportunity learn recent changes and updates in tax laws while also receiving 16 Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEs).

The Fall 2012 Tax Practitioner Institute will be facilitated by Gary J. Hoff, E.A., extension specialist in taxation, from the University of Illinois. Hoff conducts tax-related seminars throughout the U.S. and is the editor of the annual Federal Tax Workbook. He has more than 40 years of experience preparing tax returns and meets monthly with national IRS staff. Hoff is also the author of two books: “LLCs Taxed as Partnerships: Formation to Dissolution” and “An Accountant’s Guide to Like-Kind Exchanges.”

The Tax Practitioner Institute will take place at the Radisson Hotel Grand Ballroom, 200 Genesee St., Utica. The $295 registration fee includes lunches, morning and afternoon breaks, plus a copy of the Federal Tax Workbook and all materials.

To register, call the college’s office of corporate and professional programs at (315) 792-3344.
