Utica, NY (04/23/2012) - Utica College’s Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society, in conjunction with Utica College’s James Sherman Society, will host a conversation with New York State Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi on Monday, April 23 at 7 p.m. The event will be held in the Willard Conference Room, DePerno Hall, at Utica College.Brindisi (D), who last year was elected to the State Assembly, represents the 116th Assembly District. Located in the Mohawk Valley, in the heart of New York State, the district includes the cities of Utica and Rome and the towns of Floyd, Marcy and Whitestown.
This is the second event in the student-sponsored “Conversation Series.” The goal of this series is to afford students, members of the college community and the general public, an opportunity to meet and discuss issues with elected officials.
The first Conversation Series event, held last December, featured Robert Palmieri, just before he began serving as mayor of Utica.
Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society, is the only honor society for college students of political science and government in the United States. Pi Sigma Alpha is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS).
This event is free and open to the public.
