UC to Honor Veterans with Night of Entertainment
Concert, Reception Tonight at 7:30 in Library Concourse

Utica, NY (11/07/2011) - Utica College will salute our nation’s veterans with a concert to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7 in the Library Concourse. Performing are the Utica College concert band under the direction of Michael DiMeo and the UC concert choir led by David Kolb.The show will feature patriotic selections and conclude with recognition of veterans in attendance. A reception with refreshments will follow the show.
The concert is free and open to the public, and the concourse is fully accessible.
When Utica College opened its doors in 1946, many of its first students were veterans returning from the war. Today, Utica College remains committed to honoring those who serve the United States by participating in the Yellow Ribbon Program, supplementing the post 9/11 GI Bill, and has again been named one of the countries top military friendly schools by G.I. Jobs for the third year in a row.
