Utica, NY (06/20/2011) - The auditorium in the Economic Crime, Justice Studies, and Cybersecurity Building at Utica College has been renamed in honor of the Carbone family.

At the Foundation Fellows reception in May, Utica College President Todd S. Hutton said the Carbone family has impacted and contributed to the success of Utica College over the years by serving on the board of trustees, supporting the Achieve Campaign and establishing a scholarship fund in honor of Joseph and Inez Carbone.

“Utica College is blessed to count the family among its most faithful and passionate supporters,” said Hutton. “Their generous philanthropy, pursued with both vision and humility, reflects a profound connection to Utica College and everything it stands for.”

The Economic Crime, Justice Studies, and Cybersecurity Building provides an appropriate platform to support the cutting-edge programs for which it is named and the ground-breaking research underway at the college’s center of identity management and information protection, Hutton said.
The building opened in 2009 and in the same year received a merit award for design excellence from the American Institute of Architecture, Buffalo/Western New York chapter.

Foundation Fellows include individuals who support and further the growth of Utica College by generously donating significant monetary contributions.
