Utica, NY (03/31/2011) - Utica College’s role in enhancing the work force extends beyond infusing it with recent graduates that are well-equipped to excel at jobs in a number of various fields. The college will hold its annual career expo on Wednesday, April 6, not only for UC students, but for the community and neighboring schools.Representatives from more than 40 organizations ranging from insurance agencies and communications companies to law enforcement and medical fields and even Utica College will attend the expo. They will be seeking qualified workers for full-time, part-time or summertime employment. Attendees should dress in business attire and have a completed professional resume in hand.
The career expo is put on by UC’s office of career services, which offers a full range of services to students designed to explore how their interests, skills, and values relate to possible career paths, understand the importance of proper planning and preparation in goal setting, and assist in the successful transition from academic to professional life.
The expo will take place in the Library Concourse from 1 to 3 p.m. It is free and open to all members of the community.
