Utica College Names Top Students


Valedictorian Lauryn Donovan Posts 4.0 GPA

Accounting, PR, ECM students take top honors for the Classes of 2010

Utica, NY (05/05/2010) - The two highest honors students can receive at graduation will go to Lauryn A. Donovan, valedictorian, and Jacqueline M. Klotzbach, salutatorian, of the Utica College class of 2010.
 
A graduate of Proctor High School and a native Utican, Donovan will receive the honor of valedictorian as an accounting major and will graduate with a grade point average of 4.00. She is the daughter of Patrick and Christine Donovan.

Klotzbach, who hails from Hilton, N.Y., will represent the class as salutatorian. The daughter of Michele Smith and Michael Klotzbach, she will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. A graduate of Notre Dame High School in Batavia, Klotzbach earned a GPA of 3.99.

Graduate student Shannon Grayer has been named the academic representative for the graduate class of 2010. An economic crime management student, he will complete his master's degree with a 4.00 GPA. Originally from Ontario, Grayer resides in Prague, Czech Republic, where he leads financial investigations for the financial integrity unit for Europe, the Middle East and Asia for Microsoft.

All three students will be honored at Utica College’s Commencement ceremony May 16 at 11 a.m. at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
