UC Faculty Members Awarded Tenure
Nine Faculty Granted Status at Board Meeting

Faculty from various disciplines granted tenure for accomplishments, attitude, involvement

Utica, NY (03/30/2010) - Nine Utica College professors have been granted tenure by the college’s Board of Trustees.The professors are:
• Cathy Brownell, assistant professor and chair of nursing;
• Jason Denman, associate professor of English;
• Amy Lindsey, assistant professor of psychology;
• Patrice Hallock, assistant professor of education;
• Zhaodan (Jordan) Huang, assistant professor of finance and MBA director;
• Kirstin Impicciatore, assistant professor and chair of therapeutic recreation;
• Qingkai Ma, assistant professor of criminal justice;
• Thomas McCarthy, associate professor of biology;
• Charles Whalen, professor of economics and director of business and economics.
Criteria for tenure include attitude toward teaching, professional accomplishments, and overall service to the college and community.
