Utica, NY (03/17/2010) - Utica College junior Shaun Kaleta is making a name for himself.

At the tender age of 20, Kaleta, a government and politics major, ran for village trustee in his hometown of Oriskany and won. Salutatorian of his class at Oriskany High School, Kaleta has been an active member of the UC community as assistant sports director for the college radio station, WPNR 90.7 FM, and plays for the men’s tennis team. He also works as a substitute teacher in the Oriskany school system.

“I believe that it is never too early to serve and help others, and I am absolutely privileged to have the opportunity to do so,” Kaleta said.
