"Poor Tim" to Perform at UC

Acoustic Pop Rock Duo Comes to Campus Nov. 12

Utica, NY (10/15/2009) - Utica College’s Programming Board will host a concert for a small town band with big personality. Poor Tim will perform Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. in the Pioneer Cafe in the Strebel Student Center.

Poor Tim is an acoustic pop rock duo, Justin Smithson and Shawn Smith, both on vocals and guitar. Originally from Central New York, this dynamic duo uses their humor and variety of music to entertain and impress guests.

Gino Geruntino, a junior at Utica College, believes that Poor Tim has a great deal to offer Utica College students. “They are a great band and have a very strong live show. They involve the audience by physically going out into the crowd and interacting with them. I think the students will really enjoy what the band has to offer.”
