Lunch Hour Series Presents Noted Pianist

Sar-Shalomn Strong to perform Mendelssohn, Schumann, Chopin

Utica, NY (11/09/2009) - The Utica College Social Cultural Committee brings noted pianist Sar-Shalomn Strong to the Professor Harry F. and Mary Ruth Jackson Lunch Hour Series. Strong will perform pieces from three composers: Felix Mendelssohn, Robert Schumann and Frederic Chopin.A graduate of Syracuse University with a master’s degree in music, Strong is a familiar face along the east coast and has performed with internationally renowned musicians.
Strong was featured in a Hugo Wolf Lieder program at the Skaneateles Festival, and he regularly performs with the Society for New Music, and also plays the orchestral keyboard with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. Strong is a member of the faculty at Hamilton College.
The performance will take place Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 12:30 p.m. in the Library Concourse; it is free and open to the public.
