Ronald Cuccaro Inducted into Alumni Hall of Distinction

Utica, NY (03/08/2007) - Ronald A. Cuccaro, president and chief executive officer of Adjusters International and chair of the Utica College board of trustees, has been named to the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities’ (cIcu) 2007 Independent Sector Alumni Hall of Distinction.Cuccaro, a 1966 graduate of Utica College, was honored at an induction ceremony in Albany Monday (March 5) night.
Todd S. Hutton, president of Utica College, said since graduating from UC, Cuccaro has served his alma mater in many meaningful ways. In particular, Hutton said, Cuccaro served as development chair of the college’s alumni association in 1983, was a member of the advisory board for career services and continuing education in 1996. A member of UC’s board since 1998, he established the Ron and Sheila Cuccaro Endowment Fund in 2001. He is also a longtime member of the APD fraternity alumni association (Utica Chapter).
Hutton said Cuccaro, who has been board chair since 2004, has led the board through a reorganization intended to align the work of the board with the goals of the college’s strategic plan.
cIcu represents the chief executives of New York’s 100+ independent colleges and universities on issues of public policy. The alumni hall of distinction was created in 2000 to recognize New York’s independent sector graduates who make contributions to society through their careers and community involvement.
Cuccaro was one of 17 individuals inducted into the Alumni Hall; all inductees are first-generation graduates, trail blazers for their families and communities.
