UC Presents Vagina Monologues

Performances Celebrate Women's History Month

Utica, NY (02/26/2007) - The Utica College Womyn’s Resource Center begins a month-long celebration of women with performances of Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” on Saturday, March 3, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 4, at 2 and 7 p.m.

Performances will be held in Strebel Auditorium at Utica College and are open to the public. Admission is $5; students with college ID will be charged $3.

Ensler’s show is the result of 200 interviews, during which women revealed intimate, personal details of their own sexuality and experiences with violence. The Womyn’s Resource Center stages the show each year as part of its “Womyn’s Herstory Month.”

The Womyn’s Resource Center has several events planned for March in recognition of National Women’s History Month. Contact the center at 792-3327 or Alane Varga, associate dean of students, at 792-3100 for more information.
