Utica, NY (09/06/2006) - Some of Upstate New York’s finest custom road machine designers and fabricators will be rumbling into Utica College this weekend.
The public is invited to view these machines, which include a 1966 Shelby Cobra, 1964 Chevelle, 1977 Corvette and old school choppers. Photographer Frank Forte and some of his clients will display their road machines on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 12 noon to 3 p.m., in the college parking lot off Burrstone Road.
Featured will be car culture participants such as Dave Tucci from Tucci Hot Rods in Marcy, Gale Stoval from New Hartford, Jack Dinehart from Sandy Creek, Jeff Taylor and the crew from Harley Davidson of Utica, Kirk Van Scoten from Sumax in Oriskany, Mark DeGeorgio from Herkimer, and Mike Blair, East Coast Customs, Yorkville. Some of Forte’s images of these vehicles have appeared in Hot Rod Magazine and American Iron.
The photography of Forte, as well as that of UC Director of Publications and Photography Larry Pacilio, is currently on exhibit in the Edith Langley Barrett Fine Art Gallery through September 29. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 1 to 6 p.m.
