Utica, NY (09/11/2009) - Utica College is celebrating 30 years of musical and literary enjoyment this fall as the Professor Harry F. and Mary Ruth Jackson Lunch Hour series returns for another season of music, art and literary performances. In honor of this milestone, UC will host a special evening edition of the series featuring novelist Brock Clarke on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. The reading will be held in the Library Concourse; refreshments will be served.

Clarke is the author of four novels; his most recent book is titled The Arsonists’ Guide to Writers’ Homes in New England. Clarke has been published in several literary journals including The Virginian Quarterly Review and The Georgia Review, and he has been a finalist twice for a National Magazine Award in fiction. Clarke currently teaches creative writing at the University of Cincinnati and is working on his next novel.

Literary programs are made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency. The event is free and open to the public. For more information about the Lunch Hour Series, call (315) 792-3028.
