UC to Host Annual Law Enforcement Awards
More Than 30 Area Agencies Represented

Three local law enforcement professionals to be honored

Utica, NY (05/06/2010) - Utica College will host the Oneida County Law Enforcement Coalition's annual Law Enforcement Awards Program on Monday, May 10, at 10 a.m.This awards program is held as part of National Law Enforcement Week in order to recognize area police officers that have been nominated based on their record of valor and professional service. Three awards will be presented.
The Oneida County Law Enforcement Coalition comprises more than 30 area agencies that meet monthly to address operational policy issues and new information on major crime trends.
The program will take place in the auditorium of UC's state-of-the-art Economic Crime and Justice Studies building, home to the college's suite of economic crime programs, as well as the Center for Identity Management and Information Protection (CIMIP) and the Economic Crime Institute (ECI) of Utica College.
Coalition president Captain Edward Stevens of the Rome Police Department will speak at the ceremony, following welcoming remarks from the president of the college, Todd S. Hutton.
