"The Human Comedy" through Dec. 13

Gallery presents final exhibit of the fall semester

Utica, NY (11/29/2010) - There will be an artist’s reception for Dick Morrill’s exhibit “The Human Comedy” from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, in the Edith Langley Barrett Fine Art Gallery at Utica College.

Paintings and portraits, large and small, combine the gothic geometry and political commentary of the German expressionist tradition with satiric figurative post-war American realism to create searching portraits of human folly.

Morrill will take questions and Katharine T. Carter, of Katharine T. Carter and Associates, an artist agency in Kinderhook, also will speak. The exhibit is on view through Dec. 13.
