UTICA, NY (March 14, 2009) - The Utica College women's water polo team lost two games this weekend at the UC Water Polo Tournament. The Pioneers lost 12-4 against visiting Colorado College Friday before dropping a 22-11 decision against Connecticut College on Saturday.

Amanda Sulicz netted two goals and registered four steals in game one, while Lisa Torii and Alice Rupp each added one goal. Torii also totaled four steals for the Pioneers. Goalies Kera Langdon and Arielle Feinstein combined for nine saves in net for UC.

The Pioneers exploded for 11 goals on Saturday, including a career-best seven from Amanda Sulicz. UC has not scored 11 goals since March 4, 2006 when they defeated Queens College 12-1. Sulicz leads the team with ten goals this season. Freshman Alyssa Cortese added a career-high two goals for UC. Erin Schinasi totaled three assists, while Krystin Galbraith added two.

UC returns to the pool March 27th when they travel to Gannon University to take on Grove City College at 4 p.m.
