Utica College Pioneers UTICA, NY - The Utica College women's volleyball team went 0-4 this weekend at the Oneonta Holiday Inn/Red Dragon Invitational losing to Oswego, Union, UMASS-Boston and St. Lawrence.
The Pioneers lost 3-0 to Oswego (18-30,11-30,7-30), 3-0 to Union (18-30,27-30,22-30), 3-0 to St. Lawrence (10-30,19-30,14-30) and 3-1 to UMASS Boston (21-30,30-23,27-30,24-30).
Karen Crisanti (Geneva/Geneva) and Brielle Swerdlin (West Morris Mendham/Chester) led the Pioneers in kills with 26 and 20 respectively, while Christine Mylott (Catskill/Leeds) tallied 50 assists in three games. Crisanti posted a team-high 60 digs and 14 blocks, while Swerdlin tallied 29 digs and four service aces.
Melissa Austin (Beaver River Central/Castorland) posted 19 kills and 40 digs for Utica and Mereoni Vunibobo (Cathedral/Jamaica) collected 16 kills and 12 blocks.
The Pioneers (0-4) will return to action Wednesday at 7 p.m. against host Cazenovia College.
