BULGER NAMED TO FACE-OFF YEARBOOK PRESEASON ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

Senior attack Michael Bulger (Watertown, N.Y.) of the Utica College men’s lacrosse team was named to the Face-Off Yearbook 2010 Preseason Empire 8 All-Conference First Team released Dec. 4, 2009. The yearbook provides preseason outlooks on each conference in division III men’s lacrosse and the preseason All-Conference selections are voted upon by the coaches from each institution prior to fallball. Each coach selects their first-team All-Conference, as well as ranking the teams in their league from top to bottom.

PARNELL CLOSES OUT FIRST SEASON AS ASSISTANT COACH FOR CHICAGO MACHINE

Utica College men’s lacrosse coach Mike Parnell wrapped up his first season as an assistant coach for the Chicago Machine of the MLL (Major League Lacrosse) on Saturday. Parnell, who is entering his fifth season as head coach at Utica, spent nearly every weekend this summer traveling around the country coaching some of the top lacrosse players in the United States.

BULGER, O'CONNELL NAMED EMPIRE 8 ALL-CONFERENCE

Junior Michael Bulger and sophomore David O’Connell of the Utica College men’s lacrosse team were named to the 2009 Empire 8 All-Conference Team released Tuesday by the conference office. Bulger earned second team status, marking his second straight appearance on an all-conference team, while O’Connell earned a spot on the honorable mention list for the first time in his career.
