#15 Doug Herring BOX SCORE UTICA, NY – Sophomore guard Corey McAdam knocked down a jumper from the right foul line extended with two seconds left in the contest to lift the Nazareth College men’s basketball team past Utica 66-64 in Empire 8 Conference play Friday night.
With the win, UC drops to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play, while the Golden Flyers improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference.
Juniors
Doug Herring (Poughkeepsie/Poughkeepsie) and
Justin Maxwell (Guilderland/Schenectady) each scored 14 points to pace the Pioneers. Herring knocked down 3-of-6 shots from 3-point range, while Maxwell hit two three’s of his own.
Brothers Corey and junior forward Ryan McAdams combined for 38 points to guide Naz to victory. Senior guard Joe Canori chipped in with 11 points in 32 minutes of work.
