The Faculty Staff Coach of the Week was instituted in the 2008 season to provide the faculty, staff, and administration of Utica College an opportunity to be involved in ‘our classroom,’ and to be a part of the weekly preparation for the upcoming football opponent. The program is designed to offer a unique perspective into the Pioneer football program, and the lives of its student-athletes. The designated coach of the week attends daily staff meetings and practices, and joins the Pioneer football family on the sidelines on game day.

The 2008 participants include:

RPI week- Dr. Terri Provost (Biology)

Mount Ida week- Professor Regina Zdeb (Mathematics), Dr. Mary Cardinale (English), Dr. Carl Dziekan (Capital Campaign)

Alfred week - Alane Varga (Associate Dean of Students)

Coach Faggiano and the football program would like to thank all of the faculty/staff that have participated in the program to date and they hope to see several more participants in the years to come.
