Brian Collier Brian Collier enters his second season as the graduate assistant coach of the men's basketball team. Collier played four years (2003-2007) under former head coach Andy Goodemote and graduated from Utica College in May of '07 with a degree in history and a minor in education. He carried a 3.64 grade point average as a student-athlete at UC.
Collier will be responsible for assisting Connollywith player personnel, recruiting, scouting and assisting with day-to-day operation in the office.
His previous coaching experience includes four years of coaching AAU boys and girls basketball.
Collier, who played both point and shooting guard, was named team captain in 2006-2007 after guiding the Pioneers' to a 23-7 overall record and an appearance in the 'Sweet 16' of the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2005-2006. He graduated as the schools all-time leader in assists and career games played.
Collier was UC's representative as the 2007 Kiwanis Male Student Athlete Award. The award is given to the most outstanding male and female student-athletes based on performance in the classroom, community involvement and athletic accomplishments.
He is a 2003 graduate of Norwich High School where played both football and basketball. He was a three-time all-conference football player and an all-state point guard for the Purple Tornados.
Originally from Norwich, NY, Brian currently resides in Utica.
