Justin Higgins will begin the 2008 season as the outside linebackers coach for the Utica College football program. 

Higgins began his coaching career in 1999 as a defensive assistant while attending Ithaca College.  He graduated from Ithaca in May of 2000 with a B.A. in Politics.  He went on to become the wide receiver coach and defensive line coach at Kean University while pursuing his Master’s degree.  Higgins graduated from Kean with a Master’s degree in classroom instruction in January of 2002. 

After graduating from Kean University, Higgins became the assistant defensive backs coach at Lehigh University until May of 2003.  He then took a job as defensive line coach at Morrisville State College from February 2004 until December 2004.  In January of 2005, Higgins became the head coach for Richfield Springs High School.  In August of 2006 he returned to Morrisville as the defensive coordinator and linebacker coach.

Higgins was born in Warrensburg, NY and currently resides in Frankfort, NY.  He is currently a social studies teacher at New York Mills High School.
