A: You can move into your room after you complete your enrollment at the Welcome Center. The Welcome Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, in the Ellen Knower Clark Lounge of the Strebel Student Center. The Center opens for new students and new transfers at 9:00 a.m., and returning students at 12:00 p.m.
A: Only students who are participating on a fall athletic team or assisting with Move-In Day are allowed to check in earlier. Students who are participating in these programs will receive specific information prior to their designated move-in date.
A: Starting at 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, students should report to the front desk of their residence hall to check-in. NOTE: Alumni Hall check-in will take place at Tower Hall.
A: Bring helpers with you such as parents, siblings and friends. Student organizations and campus volunteers will be available at some halls on Move-In Day to help unload vehicles and carry some items to the rooms. Dollies or carts are very helpful whenever moving in or out of the residence halls.
A: Due to security and logistical reasons, you will not have access to your room before you check in.
A: Please plan your shipping time carefully. The Office of Residence Life is able to accept packages for incoming students on a limited basis.
A: New students can pick up their keys beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 24th, once they have completed their enrollment at the Welcome Center. Returning students can pick up their keys beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24th, at the same location. See additional details and locations on the

A: When you stop at the Welcome Center, please park in Lot C. Once you have completed your business at the Welcome Center, please proceed to your residence hall, and unload in the fire lane. Once you have emptied your vehicle(s), please move to the appropriate lot. Please do not park on the grass or leave vehicles parked in fire lanes.
A: Alumni, North, and South Halls do not have elevators, so please plan accordingly. All other residence halls have elevators that residents are free to use.
A: No, storage is not available in the residence halls. You must keep your belongings and all student-room furniture in your room. If you bring too much with you, just send the extras home!
