In what circumstances can a student be held accountable for off-campus behaviors?
If a student engages in behavior that violates the Code of Student Conduct at a College sponsored event, or on College owned or controlled property, the College will act to address that behavior through the Student Conduct program.
In addition, jurisdiction may extend to behavior that has a significant impact on the well-being of a student or student organization, or that which affects the educational mission and well-being of the College, even if it occurs off-campus at an event, or in a place not controlled by Utica College. Intervention in these cases is at the discretion of the Dean of Students.
