Kaplan Educational Services Test Prep Program Scholarship

We are pleased to continue our ongoing graduate/professional school test prep scholarship program, in contract with Kaplan Educational Services. Career Services has 4 scholarships available each calendar year for students to enroll in a GRE, GMAT, MCAT, or LSAT Kaplan Test Prep Program to be held at a KAPLAN test center location of your choice or online.

2009 Calendar Year Scholarship Distribution:

Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

• Be a current Utica College student at the time of application, with at least 30 credits completed and a minimum 2.75 GPA.
• Plan to enroll in a GRE, GMAT, MCAT, or LSAT Kaplan Test Prep Program during the 2009 calendar year.
• Have a strong, demonstrated interest in attending graduate/professional school.
• Willing/able to commit to additional hours recommended for study outside class time.

* Prior scholarship winners may not apply.

Application timeline: 

• Applications available September 15, 2008.
• Application deadline December 1, 2008 (by 5:00 pm).
• Committee review will begin December 2, 2008.
• Decision/notification e-mailed December 8, 2008.

Application requirements: 

• A completed application.
• A typed, one page essay outlining your career goals; include the relevance of graduate/professional school in reaching your career goals.
• A copy of your current transcript (an advising copy is acceptable).

Scholarships awarded: 

• All applicants will be e-mailed the Selection Committee's decision.
• Kaplan Educational Services will be notified who has received the scholarships.
• Students receiving the scholarship will contact Kaplan's Syracuse Office at 315-472-3702 within the appropriate time frame to enroll in the course.
