Kaplan Educational Services Test Prep Program Scholarship - Spring 2008

We are pleased to continue our ongoing graduate/professional school test prep scholarship program, in contract with Kaplan Educational Services. Career Services has 2 scholarships available each calendar year for students to enroll in a GRE, GMAT, MCAT or LSAT Kaplan Test Prep Program to be held at a KAPLAN test center location of your choice.

Spring 2008 Calendar Year Scholarship Distribution:



Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
  • Be a current Utica College matriculated student at the time of application, with a minimum 2.75 GPA.
  • Plan to enroll in a GRE, GMAT, MCAT or LSAT Kaplan Test Prep Program during the 2008 calendar year.
  • Have a strong demonstrated interest in attending graduate/professional school.
  • Is willing/able to commit to additional hours recommended for study outside class time.
  • Has the ability to get to an off-campus location to complete the Kaplan Test Prep Program.
* Prior scholarship winners may not apply.

Application Timeline:


  • Applications available January 24, 2008
  • Application deadline February 29, 2008
  • Committee review will begin March 3, 2008
  • Decision/notification March 10, 2008

Application requirements:


  • A completed application.
  • A one page essay outlining your career goals; include the relevance of graduate/professional school in reaching your career goals.
  • A copy of your current transcript (an advising copy is acceptable).

Scholarships awarded:


  • Scholarship recipients will receive written notification from the selection committee.
  • Kaplan Educational Services will be notified who has received the scholarships.
  • The student receiving the scholarship will contact Kaplan's Syracuse Office at 315-472-3702 within the appropriate time frame to enroll in the course.
  • Students not selected will also receive written notification from the selection committee.

Scholarships are available for the following prep courses:



GRE Prep Program Typical Cost is $1,149
GMAT Prep Program Typical Cost is $1,399
MCAT Prep Program Typical Cost is $1,649
LSAT Prep Program Typical Cost is $1,299
