One of my teachers is currently teaching my class about ghosts. This topic made me think a lot. There is obviously two sides in believing in ghosts, either you do or you do not believe in them.
In my perspective, I have heard a lot of stories of people who have seen ghosts and the topic overall for me is just so interesting. Those who do not believe in ghosts make me doublethink things.
For some of you, this might sound crazy, but I do believe in ghosts. I believe in everything being possible. Some of you might think “Wow, that does not make sense,” but I have experienced things that are unexplainable to life.
For instance, when I was about 10 years old my cousin was acting really strange. They had him tied up in a bed and his eyes were bloodshot. I was confused at the time as to why he was the way he was, but I assumed he was really sick. Later on I saw how two priests came into the room with another man and both priests had a bible and other stuff in their hands that I really could not tell the difference. My uncle told me to go play by the river and me loving the river I did as told and went with one of my other cousins. As I grew older I was told that he was supposedly possessed . Which thinking about it now gives me chills. I love my cousin and I am happy he overcame that experience.
Apart from that, something that happened to me was one night I was sleeping in my living room and as I was sleeping, I decided to turn to my left side because I was tired of being on my right side. As I tried to turn sides I notice that I couldn’t move. I could not move anything at all! I couldn’t move my legs, arms, head, or the rest of my body. The only thing I was able to move were my eyes. I was looking from side to side in the dark, confused as to why I was not able to move. I lasted a couple minutes like that and I started to immediately get scared. As I tried opening my mouth, it opened really slowly, and as I was ready to scream not a single word came out. I could not talk. I could not scream for help or do anything but lay there and look around. I then started yelling in my head, praying, and crying and on the outside I did not shed a single tear. All of a sudden my body slammed and turn to the left side I was so scared. It felt like somebody had control over my body. The next day I told people and they told me that is known as sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis is known to be when a person is sleeping and is unable to move. Many have said that this happens due to a ghost holding you down in your sleep. Which is scary to think about. The good thing about this is that it only happens once in a persons lifetime. Therefore, I have no worries of being scared like that again.
