Utica, NY (04/01/2014)- The Board of Advisors for the Economic Crime and Cybersecurity Institute (ECCI) of Utica College will be in town April 2, and UC students will reap the benefits of their years of expertise, professional advice and contacts.
Junior and senior students in economic crime, cyber and criminal justice will get the chance to participate in “mock” interviews from 1:45 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday with expert board members like Ricardo Bueno, founder and chief technology officer of Cyber Reliant Corporation; Peter Sullivan, director of global security at Monsanto Company; Robert Pocica, senior vice president and chief security officer of McKesson Corporation; and more.
“The institute’s board provides a wealth of knowledge; they are truly the national and international experts in our field,” said Ray Philo, director of the ECCI and professor of practice in criminal justice at UC. “They advise the faculty on emerging trends and suggest content of curricula that can best address those trends. They offer career advice and internships to our students,” Philo said.
The program will begin at 9 a.m. with welcoming remarks and an introduction of the board members in the Carbone Family Auditorium, followed by presentations on what employers are looking for, trends in the field, emerging opportunities and more.
